El Campero Madrid is the acclaimed Madrid branch of the legendary Barbate restaurant, recognized as a mecca for bluefin tuna caught using the almadraba method. Located in a restored 19th-century mansion in the stately Salamanca neighborhood, this gastronomic venue offers a unique culinary experience centered on the jewel of the Strait: wild bluefin tuna.
El Campero Madrid’s concept is rooted in respect for the raw ingredients and seafaring tradition, blending cutting-edge techniques with local stews. Its extensive menu showcases bluefin tuna in all its forms, from raw preparations like sashimi and tartare to grilled and charcoal-grilled dishes, as well as traditional stews such as tuna in tomato sauce.
The restaurant spans nearly 900 m² across three floors, seating 270 guests, and features an idyllic 200 m² terrace that serves as an oasis in Madrid. The interior design, created by MIL Studios, reinterprets the luminous, Atlantic essence of Barbate using fine materials and natural textures, creating an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere ideal for couples, friends, and special occasions.
