Casa Carmela is a culinary institution in Valencia, with over a century of history since its founding in 1922. Located across from Malvarrosa Beach, this family-run restaurant has been passed down through four generations, keeping alive the tradition of authentic Valencian paella cooked over an orange wood fire.
Its culinary offerings center on paella, with more than twenty different rice dishes, including traditional Valencian paella (made to order), arroz del Senyoret, and lobster paella. In addition to rice dishes, the menu features fresh seafood and produce from the garden, such as fish and shellfish from the fish market, and traditional Valencian dishes like esgarraet or beach clams.
The atmosphere at Casa Carmela is traditional and welcoming, with attentive and professional service. The restaurant has been recognized by the Repsol Guide and is a go-to spot for locals and tourists seeking an authentic culinary experience overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
