About Tapas 2254
Located in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district, Tapas 2254 is a restaurant that pays homage to the 2,254-kilometer journey between Palermo and Barcelona. This route symbolizes the personal journey of its chef and founder, Nuncio Cona, who captures the essence of Italian, French, and Catalan cuisines in every dish. The menu stands out for its variety of tapas and dishes that fuse Mediterranean flavors.
Among the specialties are tacos of confit beef cheek with pickled onions from Figueres, the sirloin tartare roll, the large cannelloni stuffed with roasted duck and pear in a Parmigiano Reggiano Mornay sauce, the creamy cep and truffle risotto with mascarpone, and the spaghetti with Galician spider crab in a seafood sauce. They also offer oxtail gyoza with gorgonzola and walnut sauce, and a coppa and pistachio “bikini” on a grilled croissant.
Tapas 2254 offers a unique culinary experience that blends Mediterranean tradition with innovation, reflecting the chef’s personal journey from Palermo to the Catalan capital. A really cool concept with very original dishes—highly recommended!
