1. Who we are
Seetymap (“we”) operates the Seetymap website and mobile app. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights. By using Seetymap you agree to this policy.
2. Data we collect
We may process: (a) account data (email, name, alias, hashed password, photo, preferences); (b) profile and social links you provide; (c) content you publish (places, routes, reviews); (d) basic technical data (device type, language, session identifiers, security logs); (e) approximate or precise location only if you grant permission for map features. We do not require IMEI or biometric data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use data to: provide and improve the service; authenticate you; show maps and profiles; handle creator applications and support tickets; send essential messages (verification, security, support replies); analyze usage in aggregate. Typical bases: contract performance, legitimate interests (security and improvement), and consent where required (e.g. optional notifications or precise location).
4. Retention and processors
We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal duties or disputes. We use hosting, email, maps, and analytics providers under processing agreements. Data may be processed outside the EEA with appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
5. Your rights
Under applicable law (including GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and withdraw consent. Contact: info@seetymap.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
6. Security and minors
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no system is 100% secure. Seetymap is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age in your country). Accounts of minors without a legal basis will be removed.
7. Changes
We may update this policy and will show the update date on this page. Continued use after material changes means you have been informed; where required by law we will seek fresh consent.
