The name “Engorilao” comes from the combination of “gorilla” and “ice cream,” inspired by a figure of a gorilla holding an ice cream cone that the siblings saw at the Sigep International Ice Cream Fair in Rimini, Italy, where they trained and competed in the Spanish ice cream championship.

At Heladería Engorilao, the ice cream is made using traditional methods, with fresh ingredients such as milk and cream, and pure nut pastes, avoiding the use of chemicals. They offer a variety of classic flavors such as lemon, pistachio, and meringue-flavored milk, and surprise customers with innovative creations that change weekly, including options like Tortas de Alcalá ice cream or pork rind ice cream. Andrea García Roldán is in charge of making the ice cream at the Seville location, which can result in unique flavors compared to those at the Alcalá de Guadaíra locations.
