About Parque de la Ciudadella
La Ciudadella Park, located in the heart of Barcelona, is an urban oasis with a rich history and a vibrant atmosphere. Originally, the park was a military citadel built in the 18th century by Philip V, after the War of Succession. In 1869, General Prim ordered its demolition, ceding the land to the city on the condition of creating a public park.
Today, Ciudadella Park is a 17-hectare green space much appreciated by locals and tourists alike.
