La Puerta de Cimadevilla

I came to Oviedo to try the cachopo awarded as the best cachopo in Spain 2023, in the contest of cachopos prepared with Asturian PGI beef. Together with July Avilés we went to La Puerta de Cimadevilla, in the heart of Oviedo, to taste its cider, oricios (hedgehogs in Asturian), Asturian gochu croquettes, Cabrales croquettes, some tacos with Asturian touches and, of course, its creative cachopo, which I found spectacular.There was also no lack of a good attack on desserts.

The award-winning cachopo has beef, Asturian ham, cheese, chestnut cream and apple, with an outer layer of six textures of corn, and is accompanied by cider sauce. It has a unique and creative touch, different from traditional ones, with a sweet taste and a crunchy texture.

I went back to dinner with Cocituber and we tried 5 cachopos - it's the best cachopos I've ever tasted.Cachopo and cider is always a good option, and if you add homemade cheese ice cream for dessert, dinner is already round.
