About Park Güell
Park Güell, located in Barcelona, is a complex of parks and gardens with architectural elements, located in the district of La Salut, in the district of Gràcia. It is located on the southern slope of the Turó del Carmel hill, part of the Collserola mountain range, overlooking the city. This park, designed by Antoni Gaudí, was commissioned by the industrialist Eusebi Güell at the beginning of the 20th century as part of a residential project that was never completed.
Originally conceived as a garden city for wealthy families, the project was inspired by English residential parks. The name "Park Güell" reflects this English influence. Gaudí integrated elements of nature into his design, creating a harmonious blend of architecture and natural surroundings.
